Leveler¶
A real-time leveling tool for surfaces, trailers, caravans, and whatever flat you can think of...
I built this because Google decided to discontinue their standalone leveling app, forcing me to run a search query every single time I needed it. I was fed up with the only alternative being sketchy ad filled thirdparty apps. I just wanted a level that is always right there.
You can use the built in gyroscope/compass right from your browser if it provides it, or connect a WitMotion WT9011DCL Bluetooth sensor for remote access.
Other WitMotion sensors will probably work too since the protocol seems pretty generic. The WT9011DCL is just what I had, the cheapest 200Hz Bluetooth there was when I purchased it.
Browser support: Using an external sensor means you'll need a browser with Web Bluetooth API support (like Chrome, Chromium, Edge, or Opera).
Calibration: Since the compass is magnetic, just wave the sensor around in a "figure 8" motion to recalibrate it if the readings ever seem inaccurate. The WitMotion calibrates itself in the first few seconds after boot.
